Elsa Sinclair 2022

22nd - 25th April 2023
9.30am - 5.30pm
Willow Fields, Pump Lane North, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, SL7 3RA
"What if horses were given a choice? Would they let us ride them? Without force or tools to control, and without bribes to lure them?"
"For the last 25 years, I have committed myself to building collaborative training methods with horses as partners in development. This ever evolving journey has lead me to create what I call Freedom Based Training™. This is the basis for the training I believe all trainers use and too few talk about. Do you understand your choices in training? Do you understand the pros and cons of being more or less dominant in your development with horses? I aim to help everyone understand their choices and build a course of action that most suits their situation. I work with any breed focusing on depth of relationship, harmony, and collaborative training between horse and human."

Elsa Sinclair spent a year on this journey, with Myrnah, a 5yr old wild Mustang off the range, no tools, or ropes, just the two of them and the language they developed together. She didn't know if it could be done.

Since then, Elsa has created her globally successful online course 'Freedom Based Training' and traveled extensively around the world teaching clinics. 2018 saw the making of her second film Taming Wild; Pura Vida, documenting a trek across Costa Rica, on foot, with two rescued horses, helping them build trust and confidence in humans, so they may have a chance to be rehomed.

Since then we have been watching Elsa embark on another, more complex Taming Wild project - 'Evolution'. This project pushes the boundaries even further as she works with two stallions, all the while asking the same questions, but getting very different answers!

In the meantime watch the trailers for the Taming Wild and Pura Vida, below, after which, we defy you not to be instantly compelled to buy it and to bring your horse to the clinic!

If you are not familiar with Elsa's work, or with the Taming Wild movie then be prepared to be blown away!

Spectator and rider tickets will be available as soon as the next clinic dates have been confirmed.
